This week I'm grateful for...

Image from here
I'm not often one to be openly grateful.

My life seems to go by in such a rush of working and parenting and 'wife'-ing that I rarely seem to find time for navel gazing, inward smiles or just being.

I wasn't always like this. Probably just since my Mum role got overwhelmingly unbalanced and the 'me' within didn't have as much time to shine.

So I am really grateful this week for the opportunity provided to me by Maxabella to host this empowering linky of gratefulness and thankfulness. This weekly tribute to contentedness and happiness. It gives me the opportunity to spend my weekend sharing in your stories of appreciation and love and my heart is swelling at the thought.

So for my top three gratefuls this week...

The lovely lady from the florist who has 'old school' customer service and beautiful flowers

My fellow multiple mum who insisted I try out orienteering on Wednesday night and introduced me to another way to make running fun

and

My gorgeous husband (the Geege) who has given up a lot of his 'me' time to allow me more of my own

So, what are you grateful for this week? Just add your I'm Grateful For post below (or drop us a note in the comments) and please add a link back to me/Maxabella in your post. Then pop over to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine. Happy weekend to you!

Thanks so much for visiting.

and thanks for hosting!

i have been enjoying the grateful linky so much, it really is having an impact on my week in terms of me remembering to be thankful for what I have got, like you - it didn't seem to be something I did openly all that often

and I still struggle a little with feeling that I sound "cheesey"...but i am finding that embracing the cheese is actually quite liberating!

It's just plain nice...

Hey host... so nice to see you joining in the weekly gratefuls. I actually think that it's good for the soul and actually can make us happier to be grateful. Love your gratefuls. My best friend has been in orienteering for quite a while. She LOVES it. Hope you love it too. xx

Thank you for stopping by. I was given two bunches of flowers this week and just having them in the house has brightened my mood. Something special about beautiful flowers I agree.
I really liked Andre Agassi's book too. It was unexpectedly good wasn't it? I can't imagine doing something I hated for so long, or so well either. In answer to your question I can't pick a specific autobiography/biography but I LOVE any that are about the Mitford girls and I re-read Alastair Campbell's memoirs frequently.

I love grateful posts as it's a lovely reminder that when it's all going down the gurgler, there is still a bit of lovely happening somewhere too.
