Sunday night riddle

Image from here
A farmer is taking a fox, a chicken, and a bag of grain home. To get there, he must cross a river, but he's only allowed to take one item across the bridge with them at a time. If the fox is left alone with the chicken, the fox will eat the chicken. If the chicken is left alone with the grain, the chicken will eat the grain. How can the farmer cross the river without any of his possessions being eaten?

*Answer in tomorrow's post.

Take the chicken over.
Come back.
Take the fox over.
Bring the chicken back to it's original spot.
Take the grain over.
Come back.
Take the chicken over again?
Am I as clever as I think I am?
Or should they all just wait for the ferry?

Hahahahahahahaha! You have just reminded me of one of my favourite episodes of The Office (British version with Ricky Gervais, of course!) where they use that riddle as a team building exercise. Utterly priceless scene. If you haven't seen The Office, do yourself a favour, it's brilliant... and if for nothing else, do it to see that scene ;o)
I think Shar is on the money, from memory!

Take the chicken first.
Kill the freaking fox, farmers don't like live foxes.
Bring the dead fox over.
Bring the grain.

Not as smart as mum on the run, but practical.

What Mum on the Run said.

Seven crossings. Far out. Round. And round. In circles.

Tell him to have a BBQ on the bank and cook the chook.

I'm with Mum on the Run too but quite liking the BBQ idea. Hahahaha
