How long does it take you might ask, for an internet connection in a metropolitan area to be sorted out?

6 off-shore calls.

5 swear words*.

4 hours of 'troubleshooting'.

3 bloody weeks.

2 different modems

And a partridge in a pear tree.

Still no connection.

New service provider? Yes, I think so. Just as soon as my line is fixed!?!

* There may have been more...

It's hopeless but they do have you by the balls don't they!!! I'm missing your Posts :-) Are you at least enjoying the (albeit forced) computer break? Mel x

Oh I'd be cursing up a storm if I were in your position MM. In a world governed by technology and all of it's advancements, it seems quite ludicrous that they haven't been able to hook you up yet. Don't they know you're missed here in blogland. Rude! xo

That is where I grew my arse. Optarse.

For real.

I hope you get it fixed soon.

Beyond annoying, but sadly far too common a story! Missing you.

I'd wondered where you'd got to. I've been having intermittent issues with my optus home internet for the past few months. It likes to randomly shut off at various times in the early evening, but it always comes back on although sometimes not until the next day! Good luck in sorting yours out.

I must say that, even though I hate them, I stick with telstra. I tried other providers, including Optus, and ultimately had zero satisfaction.

Telstra have quite picked up their game. When I called with internet problems a few weeks ago they were there that day, called and told me it was a major problem and offered me a wi-fi modem pre-paid widget thing as I couldn't live without the internet.

Also, have found that if I say I want to speak with someone in Australia they'll put me through. Bliss.

Hope it's fixed soon!

OH No!!!
I thought we had connection problems in the country but this sounds worse at the moment.
Hope you find a lovely new provider very soon when you're back online.

I have felt so out of touch. And yet, it seems others are feeling just the same. Hope you sort out your techy problems soon! x
